Fifteen accused including Ayesha Siddika Minni will be produced in the court on Wednesday (July 31), the second date of their court production by them in the sensational Rifat Sharif murder case. They will be put to dock at around 12 noon in the court of the chief judicial magistrate.

Earlier on last July 15, eight accused in the case were produced in the court after they gave confessional statement in the Barguna’s chief judicial magistrate court. As there was no bail prayer on behalf of the accused in the court of Judge Sirajul Islam Gazi, the court directed them to produce them again on July 31.

On the other hand except Minni, Arian Sraban and Kamrul Ahsan Saimun other accused could not appoint any lawyer. On last July Saimun and on July 24 Sraban prayed for bail but the judge Yasin Arafat rejected their bail petitions. The bail move of Minni on July 30 was again rejected by the court.

So far 16 accused were arrested by police. Of them 15 gave confessional statement under 164 criminal procedural codes (cr.pc) in the court. Main accused Nayan Bond was killed in a so called ‘gun fight’ with police immediate after his arrest. More four accused named in the F.I.R are still on run.

Investigation Officer (OC, Investigation) Humayun Kabir informed that the 15 accused including Minni who gave confessional statement will be produced in the court.

It may be mentioned that on last June 26 in front of Barguna Government College in broad day light Rifat Sharif, a cable operator was hacked to death by Nayan Bond, Rifat Farazi, Rishan Farzi and some other miscreants. After the gruesome murder, Rifat’s father Dulal Sharif lodged FIR against 12 named and other five unknown persons accusing them for murdering his son.
