Passports of Bangladeshi nationals, who are taking part in “anti-state activities” from abroad, will be cancelled, said Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque at the Secretariat today.
“We have advised to cancel passports of individuals involved in anti-state activities from abroad,” he told journalists.
“A list of such individuals will be prepared and information will be collected to examine who is doing what against the state,” the minister added.
“Many are spreading lies from abroad. They can say such things against any person, but if it is against the state, it’s treason. They are two different things,” said Mozammel.
Apart from this, the minister said, “There are some foreign nationals living in the country whose passports have expired. They are involved in various criminal activities.”
