Sherpur: Public awareness meeting held and masks, soap and others corona protection materials distributed among passerby the free of cost against the second wave of corona virus (Covid-19) at municipal town in Nakla upazila of Shepur district on Tuesday.

The program was arranged by the admin panel of the Prosfutita Sherpurs’ Face book group. The program was held with the instructions in the health rules of the government. Md Hafizur Rahman Liton joint secretary of the upazila AL and mayor of the Nakla municipality inaugurated the program.

At the time Mohammad Sarwar Alam Talukder vice chairman of the upazila parishad, Romana Jannat sub assistant engineer of the department of public health, Md Musharaf Hossain president, Khandaker Jasim Uddin Mintu vice-president, Fazlay Rabbi Rajon organizing secretary, Nahidul Islam Rejon publicity and publication secretary, Raisul Islam Rifat member of the Nakla Press Club, journalist Shafiual Alam Lovlu, members of the Prosfutita Sherpurs and others were present.

Masks, Soap and others corona protection materials distributed at Jumur cinema hall moor, Nalitabari moor, Kachari road and uttar bazar of the municipal town under the slogan of ‘Maintain social distance by wearing mask when we go out of the house, prevent corona together’.

After, inauguration of the distribution program, the joint secretary of the upazila AL and municipal mayor Hafizur Rahman Liton and the vice-chairman of the upazila parishad Mohammad Sarwar Alam Talukder handed over the greetings from the Prosfutita Sherpurs’ Facebook Group.

Prosfutita Sherpurs’ Face book group members said that the activities will continue during the corona period.
