A bus driver named Rajib Sheikh (27) was strangled to death in Savar. A van driver named Nazim Mandal was allegedly killed in the Anandapur area of ​​Savar on Sunday, April 25 in the morning. Meanwhile, the police have arrested Nazim Mandal.

The deceased was identified as Rajib Sheikh, a resident of Munsikandi village under Daulatpur police station in Manikganj. The arrested Nazim Mandal is a resident of Panchuria village under Goalanda police station in Rajbari district.

According to the police, the neighboring van driver Nazim Mandal called Rajib Sheikh from his house this morning. He was later taken to a garden and strangled. While Nazim Mandal was fleeing, the locals seized him and handed him over to the Savar Model Police Station.

After inspecting the spot, Savar Model Police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College in the capital for autopsy.

In this regard, Savar Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) SM Nurul Qadir Saikat Janan said that the matter of killing the bus driver is being further investigated. A murder case is being prepared at Savar Model Police Station.
