M M Hossain of Sherpur: A motorbike driver named Ruhul Amin did not return home after the janaza of his relatives in Jhenaigati upazila of Sherpur district.

The deceased was identified as Rahul Amin, son of Abdul Aziz of Gomra village under Nalkura union of the upazila. He was a member of Jhenaigati Upazila Mill and Food Traders Association.

Family, police and eyewitnesses said, the motorcycle lost control and collided with an Electric pole on the side of the road near Nayagaon Mosque on the way to Jhenaigati Bazaar in the evening after the janaza of a relative in Dhanshail village on Tuesday.

Ruhul Amin was seriously injured. Later, the locals rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty in the emergency department sent him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for better treatment. He died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in Nakla Upazila. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Jhenaigati Police Station Mohammad Faizur Rahman confirmed the matter.
