Sherpur: A discussion meeting was held at Sumaiya Plaza in Nakla upazila of Sherpur district on the initiative of the Nakla Press Club Committee to create public awareness against the second wave of Corona virus (Covit-19) on Friday night. Md Musharaf Hossain president of Nakla press club presided and Vice-president Khandoker Jasim Uddin Minto conducted the meeting.

Among others, Musharraf Hossain Sarkar Babu GS, Vice-president Mizanur Rahman, Joint secretary Nasir Uddin and Delwar Hossain, organizational secretary Fazle Rabbi Rajon and Md Nur Hossain, Treasurer Abdullah Al-Amin, Publicity secretary Nahidul Islam Rijon, Information and Research affairs secretary Asaduzzaman Sourav, Executive members Simanur Rahman Sukhon, Mosharraf Hossain Shyamal and Raisul Islam Rifat; Members M.F Zaman Farooq. Sujan Mia and Mofazzal Hossain spoke on the program.

The speakers discussed in detail how to play a supportive role from the side of the people as per the instructions of the government including creating public awareness against the ongoing second wave of Corona virus (Covit-19). They advised all journalists of the Nakla press club to publish the developmental activities of the government in their respective media in the coming days as well as highlight the inconsistencies of the society through objective news.

After the main discussion to create public awareness against the second wave of Corona virus (Covit-19), the income and expenditure of the new committee of the press club were discussed in detail. In addition, on the occasion of the 14th World Autism Awareness Day-2021, keeping in mind the motto “Be enlightened with generosity”, all are urged to keep an eye on all the autistic people, including reducing their health. At the time, other members of the Nakla press club committee were present.
